Camping World Sets Secondary to Fund Gander Expansion
Giving even more evidence that it intends to keep Gander Mountain as a significant retail player, Camping World filed an offering for 11.5 million of its shares, part of which it said would be used to capitalize a Gander Mountain chain of 70 stores or more. The company is selling 3.5 million of those shares and selling shareholders another 6.5 million and overallotments totaling 1.5 million shares. Net of commissions, the offering anticipates raising $106.2-122.3 million for general corporate purposes, which besides funding Gander’s revival, could also be used to make acquisitions of RV dealers.
