Net income fell 15% to $5,817,000 from $6,823,000 for the third period ended Oct. 2 as sales increased 1% to $234,680,000 from $231,753,000 on a 0.1% comp store decline that was up against a 2.0% increase last year. BGFV said sales were soft in Jul. and early Aug. due to weather but recovered after that and the trend has continued into Oct. with a low- to mid-single-digit comp so far in Q4. Q3 saw a slight increase in average ticket, offset by a decline in traffic.
