Bass Pro Looks to Shut Down New Venture by ex-Cabela’s Employees
Highby Outdoors and NexGen Outfitters and their four principals were sued by Cabela’s in DE court for violating their non-compete agreements and stealing trade secrets from their former employer as they set up a new business that would sell outdoor equipment online. The four ex-employees, backed by former CEO Dennis Highby and his wife, Molly, countered that Cabela’s was well aware of their activities to form a competitor and have ignored similar efforts by other ex-employees.
