Asics Shrinks Loss in Final Quarter


Net loss narrowed 37% to ¥3,118 million (-$28.5 million) from a loss of ¥4,964 million in the fourth quarter on sales that were 6% lower at ¥86,587 million ($791.5 million) down from ¥91,689 million. The strengthening yen sent sales lower in all export markets, with Americas down 9% to ¥25.7 billion ($234.9 million), EMEA down 10% to ¥22.6 billion and Oceania and East Asia falling as well. The home Japan market gained 3% to ¥21.4 billion.
