Asics Group Operating Income Slips 9% in FY
The Japanese company reported a 14% increase in consolidated net income to ¥12,617 million ($157.8 mm) from ¥11,046 million for the 12 months ended Mar. 31, largely due to the sale of a Tokyo building and adjacent land. Annual operating income was down 9% to ¥19,628 million ($245.4 mm) from ¥21,573 million. Consolidated sales rose 5.3% to ¥247,792 million ($3.1 bb) from ¥235,349 million.
