Net income was $12,312,000 compared to $5,073,000 inthe third quarter ended Oct. 30. Total sales were 20% higher at $135,859,000versus $113,192,000 as comps improved 14.4%, the best increase for the chainsince Q106. All categories comped positively with the exception of juniors. Thenumber of transactions was higher, but dollars spent per transaction were down.Gross margin improved 360 b.p. to 39.0% on higher product margins and occupancycost leverage. Regionally, results were led by the South where same store saleswere 17% higher.
