WORLDWIDE LOTTO BRAND SALES ROSE 17% IN FY00.


Parent Lotto Sport Italia, which underwent a takeoverin early 1999, says global brand revenues hit Lit. 370 billion (US$175.7 mm)last year versus Lit. 315.8 billion in FY99. Brand sales may reach Lit. 400billion this year, a step closer to a CY03 end objective of Lit. 500 billion.By segment, footwear sales were Lit. 148 billion ($70.29 mm); apparel, Lit.203.5 billion ($96.39 mm) and accessories, Lit. 18 billion ($8.55 mm). Thepre-tax profit was Lit. 11.2 billion ($5.32 mm) on revenues of Lit. 224 billion($106.38 mm).
