ST. ANDREWS GOLF, whichcurrently generates all of its operating income from 51 Las VegasDiscount Golf and Tennis franchise stores, is moving forward withplans to open its first All-American Sportpark in 1997. Constructionat a still undisclosed Southern California location is scheduledto begin within weeks. The entertainment/retail complex will featurea Major League Baseball Slugger Stadium under license from MLBP,a licensed Callaway Country Club Driving Range and a NASCAR-sanctionedSpeedpark for go-karts. A 100,000-square foot building at thecomplex will house more games, a food court and 20,000-squarefoot sporting goods store. The company says it's currently innegotiations with a major retailer.
