SPYDER ACQUIRES CLOUDVEIL FROM CERBERUS.


Spyder said it bought the brand from Sport BrandsInternational, the Cerberus apparel firm that had once owned Fila. Cloudveilhad been operating under a shared services agreement with Fila in recent monthswhile it looked for a strategic partner that would be able to handle itsback-end operations and finance. Spyder said it would be able to leverage itssourcing capabilities and the two brands have some common suppliers.
