SHIMANO H1 REVENUES RISE 8% IN NORTH AMERICA.


The Japanese company attributed the top lineimprovement in H1 revenues in North America to ¥11,990 million ($131.2 mm) togood weather from March that aided its bicycle components business and a solidrecovery in fishing tackle. Nonetheless, Shimano expressed concern that the oilspill in the Gulf of Mexico could impact its N.A. fishing tackle business goingforward.
