K2 POSTS LOSS ON RESTRUCTURING CHARGE AS SALES FALL.


Despite solid growth in wintersports and fishing tackle, a $16.9 million decline in sales of in-line skatesand kickboards, primarily in Europe, decreased income from operations to $1.0million from $4.5 million for the third quarter ended Sep. 30. Including apreviously announced restructuring charge of $11.7 million, K2 had a net lossof $10,668,000 against income of $4,528,000 on sales of $149,376,000, down 10%from $166,060,000.
