JOUT shareholders yesterday failed to approve aproposal by the Johnson family that would have taken the Racine, WI companyprivate by buying out remaining stockholders for $20.10 a share. JohnsonOutdoors has not yet disclosed the vote count on the measure, which requiredthe approval of two-thirds of shareholders, excluding members of the buyoutgroup and the Johnson family.
