Buffeted by the most promotional Back-to-School environment ever, Finish Line predicted earnings for the quarter would be $7.7-9.0 million, well below the $10.9 million for the quarter expected by analysts. If Back-to-School sales trends continue for the balance of the year, full year earnings are expected to be $26.5-29.2 million compared to a consensus forecast of $33.4 million.
