BRUNSWICK’S Q2 LOSS IMPACTED BY RESTRUCTURING CHARGES.


BC, which intends to take $170-180 million inrestructuring charges this FY to help achieve $300 million in annual costsavings, took $83 million in charges in Q2 ended Jun. 28. With the charges, theoperating loss came in at $17.2 million. Q2 operating margins dipped 130 b.p.to 4.4% as period operating expenses were a slashed 10% y-o-y. The Q2 net losswas $6.0 million versus a profit of $6.9 million as total revenues dipped 2% to$1,485.4 million from $1,522.9 million.
