ASICSgroupsales rose 2% to ¥70.35 billion (US$634.4 mm) for the first half ended Sep. 30,but net profit improved 24% to ¥3.21 billion ($28.9 mm). The H1 operatingprofit was ¥4.7 billion ($42.4 mm). The company’s FY forecast for the 12 monthsending March 31, 2005 calls for group sales of ¥146.0 billion and a net profitof ¥6.3 billion.
