AMER RESULTS ARE FLAT AS PRECOR OFFSET DECLINES ELSEWHERE.


Double digit profit declines in all its other sportsequipment units were offset by gains from a full year of the Precor results,which included a one time $23 million gain from settling the Life Fitnesspatent case. Overall, net profit slid 6% to ¤64.7 million ($73.1 mm) from ¤68.5million and sales were flat at ¤1,104.4 million ($1,247.9 mm) vs. ¤1,101,9million.

There was a ¤26.8 million contribution from thefitness equipment division on full year sales of ¤177.0 million vs. ¤39.5million last year.
