AMER RESULTS ARE DOWN IN Q3, FY04 NET SHOULD BE FLAT.


Net income fell 42% to €25.0 million ($31.8 mm) from€43.3 million for the third quarter ended Sep. 30, and revenues declined 6% to€278.7 million ($354.0 mm) from €297.9 million. However, last year’s resultsincluded a €20.5 million settlement with Brunswick in a patent dispute and thisyear’s included a €2.5 million settlement by the Fitness division. Also, thesports equipment business revenues rose 4% in 2004 (10% constant currency)against last year with strong performances by Fitness and Winter Sports.Overall sales declined because the group exited the tobacco business.
