The Gear For Sports acquisition, completed Nov. 1, added four percentage points of sales growth in Q4. Outerwear segment sales rose 31% to $365.3 million in the final period, but the unit had an essentially flat operating profit of $21.0 million. The company said it had across-the-board strength in Champion retail activewear, Just My Size retail casualwear and Hanes wholesale casualwear.
