Brighter days are ahead for the global game, which has suffered in recent years at during the global economic crisis from the number of U.S. rounds played to dollars spent on equipment, greens fees and related travel. In 2010, there was a net loss of 220 green grass golf facilities in the U.S. and dozens of independent and Mom & Pop golf shops filed for bankruptcy protection.
