The Sports Authority Will Build Largest Door in Chicago Suburb


The national sporting goods chain is moving ahead with plans to open its largest store, a new flagship prototype at 56,000 sq. ft., in the Chicago suburb of Orland Hills, IL in Aug. The door will replace an existing 40,000-sq.-ft. Sports Authority nearby that is adjacent to a Dick’s Sporting Goods. The landlord of the Orland Towne Center, where the new prototype Sports Authority will open, is in line to receive an approximate $1 million local tax incentive to defray the cost of renovating the space for the sporting goods chain.
